The transition towards a healthy and sustainable food model is the axis of the Group\u2019s <a href=\"\/?page_id=16456\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>\u201cResponsible Engagement\u201d<\/strong><\/a> strategy that includes among its objectives the use of tuna sourced solely from responsible and sustainable fisheries, its traceability from the source and the recovery of any and all waste generated.<\/p>\n<p>During the signing ceremony of the agreement, <strong>Jorge Ybarra Loring,<\/strong> merchandise director for Carrefour Spain, stated that \u201cThe commitment signed reflects our ability to work with manufacturers to offer our customers healthy and environmentally friendly products.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mariv\u00ed S\u00e1nchez,<\/strong> Grupo Calvo\u2019s director of sustainability, in turn underscored the collaborative nature of the pact, and added that <em>\u201ccontributing to a healthy and sustainable diet is the core objective of our Responsible Engagement with the oceans, people and the environment. We want to be better, more efficient and sustainable, and involve our customers and consumers in this commitment.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Calvo\u2019s responsible engagement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Grupo Calvo\u2019s Responsible Engagement is an ambitious <a href=\"\/?page_id=16456\"><strong>sustainability program<\/strong><\/a> that encompasses up to 17 improvement targets in three key areas: oceans, environment and people.
